StatementPro Online is not like many of the online services which are based on persistent storage models, but on a strict ephemeral processing model. An isolated, stateless processing container receives a PDF bank statement a user uploads for conversion. The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms fetch the relevant tabular data in memory. The processing container is then destroyed once the resulting Microsoft Excel (XLSX) or Comma Separated Values (CSV) file is created and sent for download to the user.
The original PDF, data extracted and the output file created is permanently and irretrievably removed from our systems. No backups, archives or hidden caches of financial information. The "process-and-purge" approach guarantees that your data is only accessible for the shortest period of time required to deliver the requested service.
If you are accessing our services from within the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK) and Switzerland, StatementPro Online complies with the principles and requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With regard to financial documents you upload, we are a "Data Processor", and you are a "Data Controller". As a Data Processor, we process only the data necessary to provide the conversion service requested by you, only upon your direct instruction (which is given by uploading the file). We will not process your financial information for profiling, automated decision making, marketing or training our machine learning models.

Our systems, however, automatically delete all the documents and generated files after processing, so that there is no information on hand which we can access, correct or delete on later requests. Sometimes, if the quality of scanning the document is not good or the financial institution uses a non-standard document layout, or the information is handwritten, or the PDF encoding is corrupted, there can be errors or omissions in the created Excel or CSV file. As such, it is imperative that you, the user, verify the accuracy and completeness of the converted data against the original source document prior to using it for any financial, accounting, legal or tax-preparation purpose.
No statement shall be made or be deemed to be made on behalf of StatementPro Online, its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, and licensors, to the extent that they are liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service.
